Before-After Evaluation for Micro-Mobility Pilot Program
Before and after evaluation of the implementation of E-scooter sharing and temporary bicycle infrastructure.
With the deployment of scooters in downtown Reno, NV, and the future installment of temporary bicycle infrastructure, roadside LiDAR trajectory data is collected and analyzed at nine intersections to conduct a before and after study on the micro-mobility implementations.
In the analysis, the following data is used:
Multi-modal traffic counts of vehicles, pedestrians, bicyclists, and scooters
The locations of scooter and bicycle usage (roadway vs sidewalk)
The speeds are all road users
The conflicts between road users (near misses)
